SSHBEA SPORT HORSE SPRING

COMPETITIVE TRAIL RIDE & HUNTING

Craig & Belinda Alexander Farm – 138 Alexander Lane - Normandy TN

Directions: From Shelbyville take Hwy 41A So. toward Tullahoma to Normandy Rd – turn left going toward Normandy Lake . At 4-way stop in Normandy go straight thru then bear left on Huffman Street – this turns into Frank Hines Rd. At stop sign at the lake turn right onto Riley Creek Rd , go up the hill and right before top of hill turn back left onto Ghea Rd (this is a hard left turn). Go to Alexander Lane – 2^nd road – turn left – proceed to parking area.

From Manchester take Hwy 41 No. (toward Murfreesboro) to Blantons Chapel Rd – turn left, go to 4-way stop and turn left on Lyndell Bell Road. Lyndell Bell turns into Riley Creek Rd when you cross Barton Springs Bridge at Normandy Lake- continue up the hill and right before the top of the hill turn back to your left on Ghea Road, (this is a hard left turn) - go to Alexander Lane – 2^nd road - turn left, proceed to parking area.

From I24 take exit 105–take Hwy 41 So. to Blantons Chapel Rd and follow same directions as above turning right onto Blantons Chapel.

All SSHBEA SPORT HORSE Rules apply in all events. This includes full western dress & proper grooming of horses-Rule 39.1-#1 - For all competition, all contestants must use clean Western tack in good working condition. Horn on Western Saddle is optional. #2-Grooming, neatness & cleanliness of horse will be necessary.

Classes are for Spotted Saddle Horses only-Spotted horses must exhibit a saddle gait. All spotted horses must be SSHBEA registered and registration # is required for entries. In all classes a 5 second penalty in timed divisions and disqualification in untimed divisions will be assessed if the hat or helmet is not on the contestant’s person the entire time the contestant is in the arena. (Hats held on the body by stampede strings are allowed.) For anything not covered by Sport Horse rules-refer to the SSHBEA official rules.
