In accordance with the SSHBEA rule #17.4 in the SSHBEA Rule Book, a person who has previously been declared a trainer must wait three (3) years before applying for and being granted SSHBEA Amateur status. Complete this form and return along with fees to the SSHBEA Office: SSHBEA * P.O. Box 1046 * Shelbyville, TN 37162
All applications must be approved by the SSHBEA Board prior to granting Amateur status. This application must be completed prior to the three (3) year waiting period. During the three (3) year waiting period, the Pro Am Exhibitor may prepare and show their own horses in open classes only. They may not show in Amateur classes. During the waiting period the person applying for Pro Am status may not assist a professional trainer in any of the activities that make the afore a professional.
