Directions For Transfer Of Ownership
1. The seller of any registered Spotted Saddle Horse shall, within thirty (30) days after the transfer...report such transfer to the Office of the Association in Shelbyville, Tennessee, and pay the fee therefor. The Association will then deliver the papers to the new owner. 7. If the animal to be transferred is a mare and has not been served, the words "NOT SERVED" must be written in the space for service.
2. Write in the name and full mailing address of the buyer. 8. Transfer papers having erasures - names, dates or signatures scratched out and rewritten - are not acceptable. If a mistake if made use a fresh blank.
3. Fill in the name and registration number of the animal to be transferred.  9. All writing must be in ink. DO NOT use a lead pencil.
4. Write in the date of purchase - the date on which the animal was actually bought. 10. Send correct money to meet fees when sending transfer requests.
5. The seller must personally sign his name in the space for that purpose, and give his complete address. Printed signatures are not acceptable. If horse is jointly owned, all sellers must sign individually. 11. Fees within 30 days Non-member $55.00 (Includes membership);
Members  - $20.00 
After 30 days - Non-member $65.00 (Includes  membership);
Members $30.00
6. If the animal to be transferred is a mare and has been served before being turned over to the new owner, the name and registration number of the Stallion and the date of the service took place must be given; and the owners of  both stallion and mare on this service date must personally sign their name on the designated lines and indicate whether or not the service fee has been paid. Foal cannot be registered until service fee has been paid.
No transfer is effective until recorded with the Spotted Saddle Horse Breeders' and Exhibitors' Association
