Welcome to a new year SSHBEA members. We are working hard to better serve our membership and we hope to continue doing this in the future.

If you have a recommendation or want to provide input on how the SSHBEA can better serve the members, we are asking that you put this in writing and send to the SSHBEA office. If you have suggestions, regardless of what they are, send them in. They can be about registration, rules, magazine, newsletter, showing, etc. PLEASE GIVE US YOUR COMMENTS!

A judges clinic is scheduled for March 10, 2001, at the SSHBEA office in Shelbyville, TN. This clinic is the only one scheduled for 2001, and it is open to both new candidates and applicants wishing to renew their licenses. The clinic will start at 10:00 A.M. Interested individuals should contact the SSHBEA office for additional details.

A refresher course for DQP's desiring to renew their licenses will be conducted March 17, 2001, at the SSHBEA office. The training session will begin at 8:00 A.M.

The Ladies Auxiliary is once again offering a scholarship to a deserving high school senior or current college/trade sch0ol student who is involved with the SSHBEA. The scholarship is for $1,000, and the deadline for applications is April 16, 2001. Applications can be obtained at the SSHBEA office.

The Youth Council Chairperson for 2001 is Cindy Gannon. Cindy can be contacted at 615-893-0120 for additional information regarding the Youth Council. Applications can be downloaded from this web site by clicking HERE. The fee is $5. The Youth Council Horse Show will be held May 12, 2001, at Lynchburg, TN.

The 16th Annual SSHBEA Spring Show will be held May 3-5, 2001, at the Calsonic Arena in Shelbyville, TN.
