Mr. Arlie Weddington is a face recognizable to most spotted saddle horse fans in middle Tennessee, even though he has never exhibited a horse. Even if you do not recognize the name, the odds are great that you would recognize his voice. Arlie has been announcing one-night SSHBEA horse shows all over Tennessee for many years. His voice is also the one that your hear each spring and fall at SSHBEA's two most prestigious shows, the Spring Show and the Fall Show. He has volunteered countless hours to the promotion of the breed. In addition, his generous spirit and humble attitude are other factors that merited his consideration for the Hall of Fame.
Mr. Weddington stated " I have announced Spotted Saddle Horse shows from the very first one held to the fall Grand Championship show, since the beginning. I have received numerous awards over the years from different groups but never in my life have I been bestowed such an honor. I never dreamed, nor did it ever cross my mind, that I would be considered for this prestigious award. My most humble thank you goes to SSHBEA and all the industry that I proudly call my friends."
