RAINBOW’S REVELATOR A HIT AT UNIVERSITY OF TENNESSEE

VETERINARY COLLEGE OPEN HOUSE

KNOXVILLE, TN –

Rainbow’s Revelator ("Cotton"), owned by David and Amy Dean, Lonesome Dove Stables represented the Spotted Saddle Horse at the UT Vet College Open House in Knoxville, Tennessee, April 4–6, 2002. The open house showcased various equine breeds, and a Parade of Breeds was held twice daily. The Deans, along with longtime Spotted Saddle Horse enthusiast and competitor Sally Webb, spent their time introducing everyone to Cotton and the spotted saddle horse and walking horse breeds. Beginning her fourth year at the veterinary college Webb was host and organizer for the visit.

Attended by over 5000, the Open House provided not only breed displays and parades but also access to much of the inner workings of the veterinary college and hospital, including displays of anatomy, x-ray technology, and the newest innovations in surgery techniques available through the university.

Always the gentleman, Cotton provided children and adults alike the opportunity to pet and visit. A 16.1 palomino tobiano stallion, Cotton has over 300 colts on the ground throughout North America and Australia. From the trail, to the family backyard to the show ring, his colts have exhibited the same gentle intelligence, Cadillac ride and striking conformation and presence, making him an excellent ambassador. An old hand to meeting and greeting, Cotton and "the boys" from Lonesome Dove are long time exhibitors at the Tennessee Volunteer Horse Fair (once again winning the 1st place presentation award for Stallion Row in 2002).
