Minutes of October 17, 2006 SSHBEA Board of Director Meeting

            At 7:00P.M. on October 17, 2006, Travis Kelley called the SSHBEA Board of Directors meeting to order and asked Janice Higgins to call the roll.  All were present except Dan Meyer , Ronnie Sapp, Mark Burke & Freda Wassom who had notified the office of their absence and Krista Smith who had not notified the office.  Travis then asked Janice to read the minutes of the last meeting, Judy Hooker made the motion to approve them as read and Kim McMahan seconded, motion passed.

            Travis reported we had a good fall show with 1206 entries.  Bob reported that we had over 1400 entries in 2001 & 2002.  The lite shod and heavy shod classes were down in entries.  Sis Osborne suggested to add a class(es) for the out of state people only.  Kim McMahan questioned could we hire someone to be in charge of the fall show to sell ads on a commission basis? 

            Aaron Crafton presented the Financial Report.  After discussion Janie Rowland made the motion to approve it, Roy Franklin seconded, motion passed.  Aaron warned the committee chair’s they would be receiving the numbers from 2006 and is asking for their budget for 2007.

            Travis reported the Kubota give-a-way is November 11 here at the office. 

            Johnny Smith had one judge, John Cordell that is eligible to be upgraded to Master Judge.  Janie Rowland made the motion to approve him, Sis Osborne seconded, motion passed.

            Sis Osborne made the motion to adjourn, Kim McMahan seconded, motion passed.
